ZSR CIRCUMCISION

What is ZSR Circumcision?

ZSR Disposable Circumcision Anastomat is a sterile single use stapler surgical instrument for circumcision. This device is TGA approved. It is characterized of simple operation, safe and efficient, simultaneous completion of circumcision and suturing. It is a pioneering invention in performing circumcision procedure. Traditional circumcision and suturing surgery approaches have shortcomings such as complicated surgery, long duration, more haemorrhage, painful, rare neat incision, postoperative hematoma. This is a simpler and more effective procedure compared to the traditional circumcision procedure. ZSR disposable Circumcision Anastomat ensures minimal blood loss and is almost painless experience and a rapid recovery. The operating principle of anastomat is similar with that of stapler. This device cuts and seals the edges of the skin at the same time. The device releases the silicon ring with staples on it at the end of the procedure, which circumferences the penis. This makes it an almost bloodless procedure and minimal risk of complications after circumcision. This ring falls off on its own within 2-3 weeks. We offer ZSR Circumcision different methods of circumcision to best suit you or your son. From the start of your consultation to aftercare, you or your son’s wellbeing is very important to us.

We believe that the best way to make you feel at ease is in creating a calm and welcoming environment and providing you with as much information about the procedure as possible.

We know that a circumcision procedure can lead to anxiety and concern for parents and men, so we’re dedicated to communication that goes above and beyond.

We had patients coming from different places/cities not only from Queensland, but also from interstate, as far as from Perth ! You can fly back home next day.

What is a circumcision?

Circumcision is a surgical procedure involving the removal of the penile foreskin, the thin fold of skin covering the tip of the penis. It orginated about 15,000 years ago -performed for cultural, religious, and ritualistic reasons . It was not until 19th century that the circumcision is performed for medical reasons, such as treating conditions like phimosis or balanitis xerotica obliterans.

The procedure is typically conducted in a sterile medical setting, ensuring safety and minimal discomfort for the individual. It’s essential to note that circumcision is a personal choice, and individuals may opt for it based on cultural, religious, or medical reasons.

One of the notable benefits of circumcision is a potential reduction in the risk of certain infections and inflammatory conditions. Studies suggest it may lower the chances of urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and penile cancer. Additionally, some individuals choose circumcision for aesthetic or personal reasons, aligning with their preferences and values.

It’s important to consult with your doctor to discuss the potential benefits and considerations specific to an individual’s circumstances. While circumcision offers various advantages, it’s crucial to weigh these against any potential risks or complications that may arise. Ultimately, the decision to undergo circumcision should be made with careful consideration of one’s beliefs, values, and health considerations.
1 in 6 males in the world ends up having circumcision.

Medical reasons are mainly Phimosis and Paraphimosis, recurrent Balanitis and Balanoposthitis, Balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO), prevention of urinary tract infections.

The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthesia and ZSR Circumcision procedure takes less than 20 minutes to complete.

ZSR Stapler method

  • ZSR Anastomat stapler is a single use sterile device that comes in different sizes, so it can be used for any age.
  • In ZSR Circumcision, the stitching and cutting are done at the same time by the device. This makes the procedure rapid and best cosmetic outcome. No routine surgical stitching done in ZSR technique. The device leaves a silicone ring around the penis shaft circumferentially and it is anchored to the skin with tiny metal staples. This silicone ring and staples comes off (falls off) on its own between 2-4 weeks.
  • Fastest and easiest recovery period and easy to self manage post operatively. You can get to your desk job and light duties in 2 days.

Recovery from ZSR Circumcision

Recovery from ZSR circumcision typically involves some discomfort  and you may develop some  swelling, and possible bruising. It’s important to rest and follow all post-operative care instructions provided by your doctor. Engaging in light activities and avoiding heavy lifting is generally recommended during the initial recovery period.

With ZSR circumcision, however, this recovery time is faster. If you doing desk job or your work involves light activities, then you may go back to your work from day 3.

You will be taught how to do self dressing at home and post operative instruction sheet will be provided to you. If you get into any wound issues, you can directly call or text the doctor. But the healing process is pretty fast as compared to other methods of  Circumcision.

The silicon ring and its staples will fall off between 2-4 weeks on its own.

QCV is one of the very few organisation that provides ZSR Circumcision and Vasectomy at the same place.

Thinking for joint procedure- Circumcision and Vasectomy ?

If you think you want both procedures together- for e.g  having foreskin issues and you think you have completed your family, then having both procedures done at same time is your option.

Instead of going through two separate recovery periods, you’ll only go through one.

Opting for simultaneous Circumcision and Vasectomy is a personal decision, and should discuss with our doctor in details.

At QCV, we are one of the very few providers to offer these surgeries simultaneously under local anaesthetics.
